THE LEGEND

George Warren McCrae Jr. (born October 19, 1944) is an American soul and disco singer who rose to fame with the million-selling hit "Rock Your Baby" in 1974. Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, McCrae's powerful voice and infectious groove helped define the disco era and influenced generations of artists.

"Rock Your Baby," written and produced by Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch of KC and the Sunshine Band, became a worldwide phenomenon, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping charts in multiple countries. The song is widely credited as one of the first true disco hits, establishing the template for the genre that would dominate the mid-to-late 1970s.

"The groove never dies. Working with OnSite Records brings that same energy and soul to today's electronic music landscape."

Throughout his career, McCrae continued to release successful singles including "I Can't Leave You Alone," "You Can Have It All," and "I Get Lifted." His influence extends far beyond disco, inspiring house music producers and DJs worldwide who regularly sample and remix his classic tracks.

His collaboration with OnSite Records marks an exciting new chapter, bringing his timeless vocals into the contemporary house music scene. With his upcoming "Rock Your Baby 2025" remix project, McCrae proves that true soul music is eternal, bridging generations and keeping the dance floor moving for decades to come.
