Production Process

Pre-Production

Extensive research into the original 1974 recording sessions. Analysis of Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch's production techniques. Consultation with George McCrae on maintaining the authentic soul of the track.

Recording

State-of-the-art recording at OnSite Studios, Aruba. Live string section recorded with the Caribbean Philharmonic. George McCrae's new vocal takes captured using vintage Neumann U47 microphone.

Electronic Production

Modern electronic elements carefully layered using analog synthesizers including Moog One and Roland Jupiter-X. Deep house basslines created on the legendary Roland TB-303.

Mixing & Mastering

Mixed in Dolby Atmos for spatial audio experience. Mastered by renowned engineer Bob Power. Multiple versions created for clubs, radio, and streaming platforms.
